It was cute, and sweet, and sexy and romantic. No it wasn't a heart wrenching, or made you have to take a breather to be able to clam down. But it was just a great , quick read. Yes, it has a little cliffhanger , if that is what you really want to call it. I call it setting up for the next book. I do wish it was longer , b/c I do think this series has great start off and with a little more work it would be amazing! I will get the rest of the series , b/c the thought of wolves finding their mates and working on that darn curse.

Silence met me once again the minute Roan left. The thing about silence is it has the power to make you think. The energy from complete muteness can slow down the mind. In this case, it has mine reeling. I mean, what in the hell was tonight all about? The way he sunk into his chair, one leg crossed over the other, tapping his fingers nervously on his leg. The minute I looked away from him, he was looking at me. I felt like he was studying my profile, searching for something.

I’ve known him for a long time. He’s never been one to keep secrets, unless he’s asked to. If he has something to say, he says it. Roan was off tonight. Something big is going down, and for the life of me, I have no idea what the hell it could be. I’m a member of this family. Been through the ritual of the ceremony, swore to put it first. Keep my mouth shut by pledging an oath of silence. I’ve stuck my neck out many times over the course of this past year. Running errands. Beating the shit out of men who try to pull one over on us. When Angel looked up, there was a shadow behind him and then a cool piece of cloth covered his eyes. He smiled into the blackness. “What are you doing, mi amor? Is this your way of telling me you want a spanking?”

“It’s not your prince,” Jessi whispered in his ear.

The small hairs on the back of his neck stood up, and he stood perfectly still. Jessi didn’t initiate playtime with the flogger, and there was an eagerness in her voice that alerted his senses. He tried to lift the scarf from across his eyes, but she pulled it tighter and tied it behind his head. A shiver ran down his back, all the way to his toes. Another set of hands unbuckled his belt and pulled his slacks down to his ankles. He kicked off his shoes, and someone helped him step out of his pants. These two had something in store for him, and he entertained a few possible scenarios in his head. His imagination traveled down paths that weren’t in his comfort zone. Although he loved to dish out a little rough play, he was rarely on the receiving end. “What are you two up to?”
